Complete Leaking Shower Base Repair & Bathroom Restoration
We began by removing the tiles and wall sheeting to assess the full extent of the damage. Once uncovered, it was clear that the shower had never been waterproofed, which had allowed water to rot the lower framing. We jacked the wall header back into position, removed the rotten bottom plate and affected studs, and reinforced the structure.
The plumbing was reconfigured to a mixer, and we installed a new cavity sliding door for proper functionality. The bathroom was re-sheeted, fully waterproofed, and flood-tested for 24 hours before proceeding. New gyprock and cornices were installed in both the bathroom and bedroom, followed by tiling the walls and floor to the client’s chosen style.
The bathroom was fully stabilised, waterproofed, and rebuilt to modern standards. The leak was permanently resolved, the structural frame restored, and the new cavity door operates smoothly. With fresh tiling, repaired cornices, and clean finishes throughout, the space was returned to a durable, watertight, and visually updated condition for the client.
